From Data Basics to Boss

This session will take you from the beginnings of where to start with your data. We will then dive deeper helping you become a reporting expert. Who owns the data in your organization? Is it you? Do you have a database manager? Learn how the you and/or the philanthropy officer and database manager can work together to interpret the data. Explore Blackbaud pre-built reports and the key filters that might help tell the story behind your data.  Don’t use Blackbaud, no worries, we’ll cap off the presentation by showing examples of custom reports that you can create in-house. Now that you know your data, you have the power to answer your own questions and create your philanthropy strategies.

Stacie Williamson serves as the Vice President for Advancement at Heartspring in Wichita, Kansas, leading the philanthropy and marketing teams. She has dedicated 14 years to the nonprofit industry, working in the fields of event planning, marketing, philanthropy, and leadership. Stacie graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Stacie is married to Jeremiah who is a Fire Fighter for the City of Wichita and a Soldier with the Army National Guard and also served as a Marine. Together they have three children; Reed-10, Liam-8 and Annie-7, two horses; Spanky and Colt, and two fur babies; Pattington and Jake.

Scotland Lamb is the database manager/knower and keeper of all things Raisers Edge at Heartspring in Wichita, Kansas. She has worked in various databases over the past six years and has focused on data analysis for the past four. Scotland moved to Wichita from Kansas City where she worked at the Nelson Museum as an analyst for development operations. Scotland graduated from Kansas State University with her Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Public Relations, and her Master's in Business Administration. Scotland is married to Gus who is just about to finish medical school and will soon be on to his residency. They have two fur babies, Bella and Sandy.
