ABOUT US

​​The Kansas Heartland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is committed to supporting development professionals throughout the state. Whether you are a seasoned development director, fundraising consultant, grant writer, volunteer fundraiser, foundation executive or a new development associate, our chapter is dedicated to supporting our members and providing quality educational and networking opportunities for you. Locally, we aspire to foster effective and ethical professionals to inspire the spirit of philanthropy.  With close to 100 members, the chapter is part of a network of 270 chapters worldwide within the global Association of Fundraising Professionals organization. 

 

We pride ourselves on inclusive and accessible services available to small and large organizations in all sectors of the non-profit world.

 

The chapter leadership offers:

  • frequent educational and professional development programs for fundraisers, typically delivered in a hybrid fashion.

  • the annual celebration of National Philanthropy Day, which honors individuals and organizations whose leadership and giving have enhanced the quality of life throughout the state.

  • a mentorship program.

  • a library of fundraising resources on loan, especially for those preparing to take the Certified Fundraising Executive exam.

  • a number of scholarships to cover costs such as membership, professional development and attendance at the annual global conference, ICON.

  • Networking opportunities throughout the year.

 

The chapter has earned the Ten Star Chapter designation since 2011. This designation, bestowed by AFP Global, acknowledges the exemplary work of high performing chapters across the world.
