Director of Development

Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County

Promoting the safety, health and emotional well-being of abused children and their caregivers by bringing together public, private and community partners.

 

Basic Function:  This position will collaboratively plan, manage and implement a comprehensive development program that builds and expands philanthropic support for the work of the CACSC.  In partnership with and under administrative collaboration, identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors. This position ensures that donors are acknowledged and recognized for their generosity and confident that their gifts are making the desired impact on services provided at the CACSC.  Serves as development leader for fundraising programs, development initiatives, and goal setting.  Development programs include major gifts, planned giving, reoccurring donation solicitations, and special capital campaign initiatives.  Supervises Development Manager in the development, coordination and planning of special events, annual appeal and third-party fundraisers.  Serves as a member of the agency’s Leadership Team.

Director of Development 

Wichita Art Museum

The Director of Development at the Wichita Art Museum (WAM) is a dynamic leadership role that crafts and leads the
fundraising initiatives for the museum. This individual is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and
stewardship of prospective and present donors to WAM. Under the supervision of the Museum Director/CEO, the
responsibilities of this multifaceted position include project sponsorship, operating fundraising, patron and general
membership, and grant writing along with special event coordination. The position interacts closely with the Board of
Trustees, significant patrons, leadership staff, and the Director/CEO to create strategies and solicit funders. The
Director of Development is responsible for oversight, proactive planning, and successful execution of a comprehensive fundraising program, meeting financial goals and positioning WAM for future success, growth, and sustainability. The Director of Development supervises development and event staff and is a member of the museum's leadership team, contributing to WAM’s mission to “connect people, ideas, and art through remarkable experiences.”
