Associate Development Officer

The Associate Development Officer is a key member of the Wichita Children’s Home (WCH) development team, responsible for year-round planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of fundraising initiatives and special events. This role focuses on cultivating donor relationships, managing gifts and planned giving programs, and executing impactful events that support WCH’s mission.

The Wichita Children’s home was founded in 1888 and has been a haven for children in crisis for over 135 years. WCH offers safe shelter and trauma-responsive services for children and youth ranging from newborns up to 24 year-olds. WCH provides emergency, temporary residential care for children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, human trafficking, grief, and homelessness.

Director of Donor Advising and Communications

The Director of Donor Advising and Communications is responsible for planning, developing, managing and executing a diverse marketing, communications, and fundraising strategy to support the organization’s goals. The position is responsible for expanding the name recognition and branding of the agency, identifying and developing funding sources, nurturing key external relationships and overseeing the execution of fundraising events. The Director may supervise other staff and volunteers assigned or recruited to help fulfill this responsibility.
